Now in our second fund, we are building a portfolio of 25 ventures and are expanding our team to invest in a better future.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Venture Capital Analyst to join our team in The Netherlands. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing and driving investments and portfolio management. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful ventures and work closely with founders to drive significant positive change through technology.

Job functions

• Sourcing: Identify and evaluate promising ventures that align with our mission of creating impact through technology with strong financial returns. Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem players, including entrepreneurs, co-investors, and advisors.
• Due diligence and investment execution: Support on comprehensive due diligence processes, including market analysis, financial modeling, and evaluation of potential impact. Support the broader investment team in deal execution.
• Portfolio: Work closely with portfolio companies on reporting and operational support.
• Representation: Represent 4impact at industry events including conferences and pitching events. Engage with the broader community to promote the role of venture capital in achieving impact and financial return objectives.
• Research: Research and write research papers on impact + digital tech topics to provide industry insights and enable sourcing.
• Data driven VC: contribute to tech and data improvements to accelerate 4impact’s path to a data driven lean VC.  

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Law, or a related field. An MSc, MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough due diligence, financial modeling, and impact assessment.
• Passion for using technology to address global sustainability challenges.
• A strong understanding of the tech startup ecosystem and the impact landscape are highly preferred.
• Easy ability to work in The Netherlands.
